Will put upto £5k to the value of the other two, but what do I get? quite fancy a lwb B Frontera but not sure which engine to go for as I do about 10k miles a year. Really fancy a Rangie but dont fancy the costs when it goes wrong

Re: What to buy? What sort of journeys do you do for this 10K miles a year??
I'd discount the 2.2 petrol powered B, as it's not the most reeliable of motors. That leaves you with either the 2.2 DTi or the 3.2 V6 petrol. Very nice examples of both can be had for well under £5K, although make sure the fuel pump has been sorted on the DTi. You have the option with the V6 of going down the LPG route too, which will save on the fuel bills without impacting too much on performance or economy. Jim...

Re: What to buy?I'm still selling my DTI
![]() My 2.8 shorty - now sold, and comments here My old dti - now sold "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW --- What a Ride!" Re: What to buy?he's got 5k Dan.
5k would be more than enough for a very nice V6 with a professional LPG conversion.
Re: What to buy?Jim, I'll do about 6k motorway miles a year the rest mainly rural A and B roads, cheers Martin.
Re: What to buy? With that sort of money i would go down the route of a V6 with LPG conversion. Very nice trucks and they go well!!!!

Re: What to buy?Seen a very nice 53 plate V6 at a garage in Sandbach for £2695, only done 50k miles, usual silver colour. Wondering what the best gas conversions are for reliability and economy and cost?
