Rangerover P38If I was to buy a RangeRover P38 will any one on here still talk to me ,or will I be ignored ,will I be allowed to come along to your offroad and green lanning days?
Re: Rangerover P38To save time just pre-fit the recovery eye to the front and you'll be okay.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... 'O-no' the truck. Comments on 'O-no' the truck may be left here Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Re: Rangerover P38At least you won't have to take the ** * * out of each other anymore.
Re: Rangerover P38Don't care what you drive .. its the calibre of the person behind the wheel that counts

Re: Rangerover P38That's me finished on here then, I'll go and pour myself a Whiskey,
Re: Rangerover P38People are joking buddy. Even though its a Frontera group we take on board anyone no matter what you drive. RobFog above used to have a Disco. Andytats (another long time member) also had a Disco. I drive Troopers. Others drive P38's and Defenders. A few Jeep Chrokee's. Suzuki Vitara's and Jimny's. All sorts basically.
One thing we have in common is having a good laugh, and helping out those who need it. ![]() ![]() My members ride For Banshee the Trooper : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=34626 My members ride for Leeloo the Lotus Edition viewtopic.php?f=46&t=60154 Deceased My members ride for Brenda the Bighorn : viewtopic.php?f=46&t=54771

Re: Rangerover P38Silver end Essex .Once I have another 4x4 I will come along I wanted join in the Thetford trip,I did the those lanes in a 3.5 GDI Pajero about 7 years ago then did Salisbury plain a few weeks later, would really like to do them again I think it's better in a group.
Re: Rangerover P38Nought wrong with a p38...I have a dhse, and kel has a 4.6hse on lpg...
In honesty there traction control and witchcraft with their auto boxes is real clever and works well off road...surprised me...and they dont really rot either, not like the discos and classic RR... Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

Re: Rangerover P38I do really like the P38, do quite a bit of Green Lanes and my m8 tags along in his P38, its completely bog standard apart from a set of BFG AT's
He has drowned the electrics a few times but still keeps going Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one

Re: Rangerover P38Yes I must admit there are better place's to keep electrical components BUT maybe Landrover thought anyone spending the sort of money they cost new would'nt
be doing a lot of wading in it ,now they are dirt cheap and people are a lot more adventuress with them it has become more of a problem .
Re: Rangerover P38Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
Re: Rangerover P38Behind the front headlight FECK ,you could'nt make it up.So under the drivers seat safe as house's ,well better .
Re: Rangerover P38Well I picked up a P38 from Yorkshire on Tuesday I am really pleased with it 1999 4.6 auto HSE £1300 .Only problem is the blend motors on the heater had packed up the heater blows hot all the time on the way back it really was Betty Swollock's. To be fair the guy I bought it from did warn me and supplied new blend motors which I have now fitted ,half the dash is back in hopefully the rest will go in tomorrow .
Re: Rangerover P38Nice one, if you have the dash apart, do the heater O rings while you are in there, common fault and only pennies to buy
Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
Re: Rangerover P38Gotta do the O rings on mine, seem to have a leak into the drivers footwell, and its using a bit of coolant....Was is biatch job Yaki? Would i do better cutting the bulkhead out and going in from the engine bay?

Re: Rangerover P38Yea O rings done dash all back in and working now ,not as bad as I thought found a how to guide explained were every nut bolt and connection is must admit it would have been a pig without it.
Re: Rangerover P38You can't really replace the heater O rings via the engine bulkhead as the holding screws face the rear of the car, also if you was to see what's behind the dash I don't think you would want to risk cutting a hole. You do not need to remove the dash completely to change the O rings .
