Knowledge needed

Ok discovered my timing belt is very slack, not slipped or come off just slack. Obviously not going to start it till I have fit a new kit and water pump. Can anyone shed light on the part numbers for a 1998 built X20SE?

has the X20 got autotensioner or all on the water pump like C20 ?

anyway i just got a gates kit off of ebay, great quality.

as far as i know the x20 is the same as most of the c20 and has a tensioner
as the duck is an early c20 so tensions off the water pump, and the swan is later and has a tensioner

if anything get a book of lies (hayes manual) and it will take you through it all.
it is quite a simple job to change. ive done quite a few now

Yup has a tensioner, cover off and took another look £55 including VAT for full kit and water pump, gotta love old motors.
