Any ideas. Where the best place to buy 2mm sheet metal from had a look around on the net but i thought. I'd. Ask just in case i might have. Missed somewhere.

Re: sheet metalBest place to buy steel is the scrap yard....many manufacturing places simply weigh in their offcuts, and its worth asking if you can buy some...
You will pay a little over scrap, but can get a selection of materials for a fraction of their new cost, and best of all its cut up for you...8x4 sheets are a pain in the ass to handle and store... Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

i only use 2mm cos i have alot of it. i aquired from a job i did.. i would be more likly to buy and use 1.2mm, will be easer to work with CARTREK

Re: sheet metalThin stuff will go with tin snips, thicker a grinder with a slitting disc i guess...
I use a guillatine, metal shears or plasma cutter most of the time....or oxy-propane if its proper thick! Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

Re: sheet metalI got mine from metals4u but it was a generous order (including 15 meters of cds roll cage tube and 6 meters of stainless hydraulic pipe) no probs with the service and would use again
