Unfortunately I'm being forced into letting the SWB A LEAFER go, hence my asking the question.
A bit p1ssed off with the prospect of letting it go to the scrappers but I need the lock up for another car very urgently.
The leafer is a non runner sitting in my lock up waiting for the rebuilt engine and gear box to go in. That's been the case for the last 6 years because I elected to buy to 2.8 and spent my money and time on that truck instead. The leafer is what I originally bought cheaply with a blown engine. The intention was to repair the LEAFER and use as an offroading toy, but after joining FOG to get advise how to go about it, it was very apparent that the vibs were to go for a 2.8 if an option. For me, it was, hence the leafer being left on the back burner.
The replacement C20NE engine used to be in Rangakoo's leafer before he did the 2.8 engine swap. I spent another £150 having the cylinder head overhauled and new piston rings and crank shaft shells fitted. Fitted new crank and cam seals as well. Also a brand new clutch is fitted.
The intention is to try and hang onto the wheels and tyres because the previous owner had a brand new set of Kumho ATs fitted 6 months prior to blowing the engine. The spare one as never been on the road.
