As above as it doesn't look like we have a thread yet. Most of us would be hitting the 14 from various directions so how's about we meet up at the cambridge services just north of barhill (junction 28)?
Obviously andytats won't be with us as he's going the day before, but I think there's still a hand full of us? What sort of time can people get there for?

I found this out last year.. Just a heads up if your satnav takes you up the A5 past Shrewsbury then onto the B5396 be prepared ( especially if you are towing a caravan ) for a long tight & bendy drive with steep hill. It's a nicer drive on your clutch sticking to the A5 past the Corwen carwash then take the A494 to Bala.

M11 Junction 8 - is that Bishop Stortford services? Steve - to get to M11 J8 by 9.30a.m. and with Friday morning traffic conditions on M25, what time do you think and if we ought to meet at the Dartford Crossing services - thinking 8.45-9a.m. latest.
Put your thermals on guys, just had a look at the 5 day weather fore-cast for Bala - Friday night 3 degress, Saturday night 5 degrees

Rekon we'd need to meet closer to 8:15 to guarantee being there on time, took me 3hrs to Stevenage the other day!!!
PlanB to meet at crossing for 10 and play catch up sounds better.....

I'm picking something up from Newmarket for Ian at half 9 so I might be late getting to Cambridge services anyways so no great rush . I'd say cambridge services half 10 would be more sensible

Ian, not sure if Steve as had chance to phone/text you but we're going for a later 10a.m. meet at the Dartford Crossing so DON'T wait for us up the M11. Also I think it will be quicker for us to go up the M1 so if we don't catch up with you on the M6 will see you at Bala - touching wood and all that.
