car tax at the post office.I haven't Been and taxed a car at the post office for years usually do it online. Just wondering if you still need to take your log book mot and insurance with you or is it all on the computers for them to see.

Re: car tax at the post office.Yep you need to take them still, although it does come up on their computers now I believe...
Need V5c or V11 reminder, valid mot (or exemption form) and insurance certificate....and an obscene amount of money!!! Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!

Re: car tax at the post office.Did mine on Thursday and apparently if you have the reminder from DVLA you no longer need to show anything else" She told me that you are now liable to make sure you have the correct documentation yourself!!! I just handed her the reminder and she gave me the new TAX disc...This seems a bit odd to me really!!!

Re: car tax at the post office.I think the mot and insurance come up on their computer now...but its worth taking them to be on the safe side I reckon...

Re: car tax at the post office.Trucks currently sorn so do I need a form or something from the post office .could do it online I suppose but soon as it's taxed I'll want to drive it and don't want to wait a week for tax to arrive.
