Pot hole compensation ?Any body ever been compensated for damage done by a pot hole ...... Today I managed to snap a brake pipe and the only thing I can think of is I hit a pot hole a little way down the road , it's snapped the pipe just above the caliper ...... 1 hell of a journey home ......
Re: Pot hole compensation ?TBH I dont think you will stand a chance of getting anywhere with a claim for that. In fairness, if it was gonna fail that easily I would be thankful that it did so then and not at a time when the consequences could have been horrific. It might have actually done you a huge favour
Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()
Re: Pot hole compensation ?You will find that to get compo you need a shed load of photo's of the hole complete with tape measure to show all dimentions and the damage done to the vehicle. A friend damaged an ally wheel years ago and it took bloody ages for them to cough up!

That's the stance round our way. Pete
Re: Pot hole compensation ?A broken suspension component would possibly enable you to claim but a brake pipe should not fail hitting a pothole if it was in good condition

Re: Pot hole compensation ?Is it a copper brake pipe by any chance?
They can work harden and fracture if they are free to move around. Kunifer pipe is better for this reason, it has all the advantages of copper but not so fragile.
