Oh I should bow down to your expertise and your ability to know that a bulkhead will split prior to it happening shouldn't I. Surprised you didn't know the gearbox on the one you were planning on selling me was going to give up on your way to the meet last year? Or were you hoping it would last out til my journey home?? Yet again, the same people jumping in to criticise, surprise suprise. I also wasn't dissing or dismissing the annual at all, infact I think holding it in Wales is a good idea, All said this thread is meant to be about a laning day in Wales that I unfortunately missed due to my bulkhead failing, which I'm sure has happened to others before me, but it's all fixed now and we managed to get onto a few lanes round here to test it out for a bit yesterday afternoon.
IF ITS NOT BROKE, YOUR NOT TRYING HARD ENOUGH!! STRATA 2012- WE CAME, WE SAW, WE KICKED ITS ASS! (even if it got wrinkled in the bombhole!) BAR STED LANE 2012- BEEN THERE DONE THAT! NEXT....

I want to apologise for disappearing off the thread and not showing up to my idea for a laneing trip. To sum up why, my mom lost control of my dad's 2.2dti fronty on some black ice and and started sliding towards a small car with people in. She panicked knowing the fronty would annihilate the punto or whatever it was and whipped it as hard as she could away from their path. This sent her on to a head on collision with a house wall. She put it through the living room wall writing off the car and most of the stuff in the room. The two occupants were in bed luckily but my mom refuses to wear a seat belt after her friend died trapped in one (I've spent 20 years telling her to put it on) she was battered and bruised but luckily no broken bones or excessive cuts. Just wanted to clear up why I let you lot down. I was looking forward to this trip and I know my awesome A series would have walked it. You lot should stop fighting by the way it's 2014 in a couple of days. Start the year as friends them slowly degenerate down into arch enemies. By the way Steve can i here you laughing in one of those video's haha

Tom I am glad she is ok I would have posted about your mom but didn't think it should come from me as it's personal and a open forum. I am looking at organising a day or a weekend for next month that's if the 2.0 can take it Me and Steve both had damage from the days laning Me Broken towbar electrics Dented and scratched rear quarter panel Lost my front number plate Steved Exhaust broke and had to be removed. The v8 sounded great Broken bumper corner Massive split on rear tyre And the normal oil leak but that was there before we started It really was a cracking day and I really enjoyed it Tom I was laughing very hard BUT Steve has videos of me struggling too

I would like to point out, I was cursing the car like hell for not making it up that slope, but as it turned out, surprise surprise, it was all my fault apparently you need to use something called a diff lock? you have to move this weird leaver thing......its a but of a novelty after coming from the frontera. I would like to point out, in the vid where I did manage to get up the hill finally, the diff lock wasnt engaged.....stupid boy I am. You live and learn tho haha. I dont think the corner bumper counts as damage colley, as I can click that piece of cr@p back into place all fixed now. I do have some good vids of the frontera struggling, but I think its only fair I post them on a landy forum somewhere On another note, glad your old dear is ok Tom, that looks like one hell of a bump.
