Bent front n/s hub where the track rod goes in, along with a nice little dent on the front wing where it landed... He must have been driving pretty fast too flip it for a start!

Safe to say he wont be driving it for a little while now...

My summisation:

Saw puddle.
Floored it.
Hit puddle and laughed.
Panicked as the water flew up over the bonnet and windscreen leaving him no visibility.
Took hand off steering wheel to flick windscreen wipers on.
As hand left wheel the other hand involuntarily turned the wheel to the left.
Hit Bank and flipped truck onto it side.

Wouldn't take much speed to roll it if he hit the bank at the wrong angle.

Turn wipers on fast before attempting puddle driving. The Frontera (and Troopers it seems) have a very stubby nose (when compared to say the Discovery). This means when you hit puddles the displaced water is pushed forward as it "rebounds" off the front of the truck - bow wave. The displaced water has no where to go other than upwards as it is trapped between your truck and the water your heading through. This means that it will go up over your bonnet and windscreen (and through your air vents and out the dash vents over your passengers leg if your name is Drift ). If it is muddy you will lose all visibility instantaneously. Discovery's fair better as the front of the truck is further forward of the wheel than the Frontera so the displaced water seems to be pushed out the sides more. We proved this at the recent Thetford laning trip. All four Fronteras/Troopers hade muddy water all over the front of the trucks. The Discovery however had splashes but no where near the amount .. no matter how hard RobFog tried.

Your assumption Ratcav is pretty accurate from what he told me what happened... other than he said he didn't floor it, which i'm sure he did!

Was gonna bash the dent out but like you said geeks, just adds too the character
