Urgent help Southampton areaOn the way back to Cornwall I had an accident on the motorway and our three dogs ran off up the motorway. We got 2 back but the pure white German Shepherd called Sapphy is still missing. She was last seen by Macdonalds at the end of Stoneham Lane.
Could anyone living in Southampton please put the word out, we are distraught! It was once said that the Devil would never dare to cross the River Tamar into Cornwall for fear of ending up as a filling in a Cornish Pasty.
Re: Urgent help Southampton areaI can go and have a look round there mate, is only up the road.

Re: Urgent help Southampton areaMike, tell em to feel free mate.
I've been and had a trundle round the area myself, and put the word out to folks in the area. Fingers crossed for a good result on this one. Jim...

Re: Urgent help Southampton areaShe is chipped and everyone is aware, spent all day yesterday and 15 hours today searching, but despite several sightings she remains missing! Now believed to be in Hut Wood.

Re: Urgent help Southampton areaThanks Jim for posting that. Yes after 3 very long days of searching, we had a call from a lady who saw her in the Daisy Dip area of Southampton, somewhere where she had been seen several times, we were only minutes away but there was no sign of her. Within an hours many volunteers were putting up posters, taking flyers around and walking through the extensive woodland. We planted burgers, frankfurters and sardines to tempt her back and put some sausages on a bbq hoping the smell would bring her out but when we left at 10pm, no sign. We came back at 4am with a large pack of mackerel, we sat for an hour before I had to get on a train to Cornwall. Debs went back and carried on sitting, suddenly one of our other two dogs barked and when Debs turned around Sapphy was 20 ft away but very wary. She kept going away out of sight but did keep coming back, using advise gleaned from DogLost.co.uk and GSD's united, Debs stayed on her knees and did not look at the dog, very hard to do. It took her 20 minutes of coaxing and treats to get her close enough, it just shows how quickly they forget their owners, something which again we heard from those sites. Car update fronty written off but dog safe!
