I'm goner have to park mine up until my disc comes or it will be me next ! On the plus side I can play in his delica until it lands

On the basis that the vehicle is parked of the road leads me to believe the vehicle is parked on private property or a car park. If its on private property displaying a valid tac disc is not needed as long as it is taxed or sorn'd your fine plus that should surly lead to trespassing, however if in a car park then sadly just having it taxed is not enough it needs to be displayed.
Where i used to live in Nottingham it was all on road parking only and a transit mini bus that was used by the hostel was parked at least not displaying a valid tax disc for 6 months and had not moved in that time either and there was no notices put on that (would be surprised if it had a valid mot either as it really should have been in the scrap yard).

The plot thickens , the dingbat pal if mine had a ticket the day before he got the chopper out to the rig ! At that point any normal person would say " crap " put my tax disc in and not leave it sat in the glove box !!!! So he now has 2 tickets !!!!! Is that not backwards ! Cars parked on road , I'm insured via third party from my insurance so no worrys there ! It's now left In his hands for when he gets home ! As I ain't got £100 to pay it for him and to be honest for being so bloody stupid he can sort it !

Who issued the ticket Dan? If it's police or council, then he has to pay. If he , like yourself lives in scotland, these are the only people who can legally enforce a ticket. If it's from a private mob (incl hospitals) tell him 2 bin it not worth the paper it's printed on.
