Advise Please

After breaking and scrapping the truck the other week, I am left with the 3.2 V6 engine, auto gearbox and transfer box all in full working order.

Now the question, do I try and sell as a complete unit or sell the gearbox and transfer box together and the engine separate, or do I break the engine down and sell off bits separately ie heads, cylinders etc .

And is eBay the best place to sell them

Any advice welcome.

I personally would sell the engine and box separately..........if you start stripping the engine you will end up with loads of bits lying around. Unfortunately the engine won't be worth much. There have been a few people on here trying to sell with no takers and plenty on ebay again with no takers. To give you an idea I ve bought 2 complete engines with all ancillaries...one for 90.00 with 60000 miles and one complete with gearbox and transfer and all ancillaries 78000 miles for 100.00. Both bought with the intention of cheap parts for mine........and what have I used in the last year? The auxiliary belt idler!, and that's it. I could have bought that from the states with shipping for 25.00.
Though saying that you may strike lucky and you should be able to shift the auto box no problem. I,d bung them on ebay with a buy it now and see how it goes after seeing if anyone on here is interested.
I think it's a crying shame as they are brilliant engines. I might buy it rather than see it go to the smelters!
