Re: mk1 or mk11You have what's generally referred to as a B-series, which while keeping the basic form and function of the car was a complete overhaul of the vehicle. Mk II would probably work though.
Older Fronteras are referred to as the A-series, or the A-facelift from the end of '96 when the interior got a tart up but the mechanical side of things stayed pretty much the same. Re: mk1 or mk11Have we not got a face lift a which looks the same as a b as well? I thought you told which it was by which side the filler cap was on? Mine is a b series and the filler is on the passenger side. I may be completely wrong but I have been on night shift for 6 months so don't know what month it is let alone what day!
Re: mk1 or mk11All the A-series I've seen have been fuel flap on the driver side from our point of view. Never really looked on the B.
Anyhow, you got the leafsprung A-series, then the coilsprung A with revised engine lineup, then the facelift with the new interior and change of engine again, all with the same basic bodyshell and drivetrain setup. Then in 1998 you got the B-series and that was that. Jim...

So B then lol. all v helpful when looking for bits Thnaks for the compliment but you may not have noticed it has an odd wheel lmao. got loads to do on it and looking forward to doing it. my 4 x 4 system is knackered along with ball joints drop links etc. grrrrr just hoping it has nothing terminal. I spent a day painting the exterior plastics black cos that was a cheap job. But I will get there with the help of FOG. ![]()
