Telehandler vs frontera....telehandler won!

We needed to flatten matts old offroader to get it in a grain trailer to go to the frag, as if flattened then it can go in shearings sooner than end of life which pays more £££..
The car has been dead for a while, front diff and shafts gone, tf box seized and huge hole in the top of it, and it had been rolled before to.

The car had a good life, and some bits of it will live on as replacements on other frontys...
This fronty started of with Richy, then Horses45, then Houndog and finally my mate Matt when we repossessed it.

Since then its been campaigned up the woods, and used as a shooting hack up my mates farm...
then target practice once it became dead, hence the bullet holes...

So the flattening began...in fairness we were both impressed at how much resistance the roof offered..







And if anyone needs any further clarification that the bar in the back of a sport in NOT a rollbar, but just a metal support for the seat belt uppers then see below.





Sadly the Cat Dozer had a flat battery so this couldnt join in and finish the process.

RIP little fronty, and long live the rest...its going to the shredder today..

Good by old friend i spent many miles in that bone shaker It belonged to postfinder first who had the springs on the rear hand made and a two inch lift built into them only this was there was no give in them

I have got the springs sitting up my workshop, might try them under the new 2.4...if needbe I will loose a leaf out of them...

i thought it was just 2.8's that ran cold enough to need a supplementary heater - seems 2.0's need them too better save that for me if its not too late

The front shocks didnt look too bad still, but the tops were being stubborn and there was easier stuff to pillage off the car in the time available unfortunately...

Well at least me Olympus has gone to someone who loves her and is taking her on foreign holidays
Now just waiting for me new Isuzu D-Max Utah to be delivered, and then Ill pop down the road and try it out on Strata avoiding the bomb hole though.
