2 stroke oil in fuelA lot of discussion among the derv burning BMW owners I know about using a little of the above in their fuel, reasoning it lubricates the pump a little and other goodness, anyone tried it on a Fronty ?

The old diesel engine fuel pumps where designed to be lubricated by sulphur in the fuel but the sulphur has been phased out in fuels and replaced by an alternative. This is fine for new pumps designed to run on the stuff but its not as good for old pumps and they can get a bit noisy, so the 2 stroke contains sulphur and is an ideal replacement. Only use mineral 2 stroke and not synthetic 2 stroke as this will cause issues. Ste

Re: 2 stroke oil in fuelI'm in the same camp as Drift... pour a little into my tank each time I fill up. I go for about a third of a litre mind.
Just use Asda own brand 2-stroke oil, pick up a bottle when needed. Jim...
