Re: 3.2 V6 MPGYou,ll get all sorts of figures from different people. I've got a 2.2 and a 3.2.......the 2.2 is marginally better around town, but the 3.2 Wupps it's ass on long runs. Better mpg and you can travel faster and still get better mpg. If you run a 2.2 and you are happy with the fuel cost,then you can afford a 3.2.
From my own experience the 2.2 feels better balanced, whereas the 3.2 does feel a bit nose heavy......but not enough to be a serious problem.......and yes, loads more power. It's not excessive, it's comfortable ![]() Bag 'O' Sh*te No1 2.2 petrol 2000

Re: 3.2 V6 MPGi run mine o lpg and its been played with for more power so m figures are lower than would be expected on petrol im told as i get 18-20 round town and if i am lead footed can easily go dow to lower than 16mpg
on a run to dover i was averaging 25mpg on way down and 23 mpg on way back but had 4 people in car lol but on petrol i get 20 22 mpg round town behaving and highest ive had is 27 on a motor way run when i ran out of gas and had to drop to petrol and reset it but this was cruiseing at 60 for the 30 odd miles those who run solely on petrol would b in a better position to give figures cheers

Re: 3.2 V6 MPGThe usually exaggerated factory figure say 21mpg from the V6 or thereabouts depending on the variant.
See the Parkers guide for official factory figures. http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/f ... 991/15811/ Ste

Re: 3.2 V6 MPGSte...shall we combine all the MPG threads in the V6 section?...
Actually that would only leave a couple of threads so scrub that idea.. Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()
Re: 3.2 V6 MPGIt aint technically a fault so moved it here, unless of course its the drivers fault for buying one

Re: 3.2 V6 MPGmy Gas is off (need a map sensor)so running on the expensive stuff,
what are you paying for the v6, may be worthwhile getting it converted if your keeping it. mine paid for itself in 7months. ![]()
Re: 3.2 V6 MPGDid a run win mine with all the family and a large caravan from Huddersfield to Carnforth, at an average speed on the motorway of 50mph. On the trip covered a total of 286miles and averaged a true 18mpg.
Bear in mind I live in a very hilly area so I consider this a fair return in fuel. Locally (shortish runs) with my feather slippers on I don't manage better than 20mpg. If you are flighty with the right foot these thing guzzle fuel don't be fooled. Love it though much quieter & smoother than the diesel ones I've had before. Go on av it it'll put a smile on yer face between petrol stations http://s1122.photobucket.com/albums/l53 ... e149-2.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: 3.2 V6 MPGThanks guys.
Went to have a look at it, it was advertised on gumtree glasgow as excellent condition with genuine 22'000 on the clock. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-moto ... 1015415962 After the guy mucking about a bit re viewing it I set off for the 45 mile journey letting the seller know I had left to come and view. I arrived at his place, called to say i was there, no reply. I then got a txt from him to say he had been called out to work and wouldn't be able to make it. Had a look around the car anyway seeing I was there, what a complete bin. There was body trim panels missing, tyres although all barely legal on tread, had cuts in the side walls of a couple of them. The exhaust had more exhaust repair putty holding it together than anything else. The underside was in a poor state also with the rear panel that runs along behind the rear bumper being completely rotten, all coil springs looking like they were on there last legs,brake pipes required replaced front to rear, along with the anti roll bar bushes... This was all noticed from a quick 2 min look around.. The car was advertised at £1495 but I had already agreed that I would be paying no more than £1100 if it was as described. I'm quite glad he wasn't there to be honest. Was looking forward to there being a V6 to join the 2, 2.2 sports we already have in the family.
Re: 3.2 V6 MPGI remember a doctors car from Arran being on ebay a couple of years ago, it was the same colour and was being sold from Glasgow. It was sold but the deal never went through, he blamed time-wasters that a quick look in the mirror would have confirmed by your account, and it was re-listed.
Re: 3.2 V6 MPGwit the v6 if they are not well maintained walk away the engines are bullet proof if well serviced if not they cost 4-600 to replace and had gaskets can run to 1200 for a garage to do so be warned and if ovr 70k on the clock look for gasket receipt for gasket done
cheers
