MOT day fingers crossedHi guys the dreaded mot day has arrived first one since I have owned her.....

Re: MOT day fingers crossedHi Ya,
just had mine done all i can suggest is start at the front with lights, indicators, no loose body parts, check under bonnet, no loose battery no loose wiring exhaust pipes, brake pipes and resovoirs are good, outside again wheels tyres body corrosion and loose panels, all doors open from inside and outside, check windscreen for damage all wipers work and are in good order. Inside check all warning lights work and go off as required speedo works this is new item, seat adjustment works seat belts in good order and work on all seats. To the rear, lights again and body panels. Now subject to how much mechanical know how you have you can check under the car such as brake pipes and hoses the bushes to the suspension there are loads of these, the exhaust system is good and secure check for corrosion on body and chassis, Check front and rear wheel bearings for excess play nad all ball joints have no movement and the rubber covers are good, check steering gaiters are in good order no split ones def fail now. The only items we cannot check these days are emissions and brakes. So good luck
