Re: MILNEROFFROAD - Am I being unrealistic in my expectationQuite concerned about your comments on the idlers Yaki. Just bought one for the Trooper. Now I know I won't be doing anything near as agressive as you do. I hope its fine for green laning, light offroading, and general road use.

Re: MILNEROFFROAD - Am I being unrealistic in my expectationWouldn't worry if you are going Green Laning, have only bent them at punch hunts/trials, the last time I was pushing the Frontera past its limits (as seen in the photos) and did some other damage but original S/H ones seem to last loads longer and don't bend as easy
Soon to be without a Frontera after 10 years of owning one
Re: MILNEROFFROAD - Am I being unrealistic in my expectationWell there's customer service for you
So I'll try and change them tonight and send the Milner ones back to them and if I don't get a full refund I'll be going to Trading Standards first and Small Claims Court after that. I've really got the arse now about the manner in which they've chosen to deal with this......
Re: MILNEROFFROAD - Am I being unrealistic in my expectationI had a run in with them with some landcruiser stuff I bought...
I killed a CV joint and bought one of their CV's and new swivel housing bearings too, as they had been full of shrapnel from the exploding CV... The new milners Cv joint lasted less than 3 minutes off road (I didnt tell them I was running 38's and a front locker mind They agreed to change the CV under warranty, but I had a battle and half to try and get new swivel bearings as they were now full of chunks of metal... Plus they wanted my busted joint back for examination for a week or two before they made a decision, meaning the truck was off the road. Finally got there, but only when I threatened to get onto my creditcard company, but I wouldnt buy anything off them again unless they were loads cheaper and I could live with the hassle if the item screwed up. Check out the index thread below where pics/reviews from all our past meets can be found!!!!
click here for the SE Events Index/links Thread...see all the reviews and whats coming up soon! Looks like I'm in trouble with the Mrs's again... She asked me what I'd most like to do to her body... Apparently "Identify it" is not the correct answer! MAKE IT or BREAK IT! TEAMXTREME4X4 ![]()
Re: MILNEROFFROAD - Am I being unrealistic in my expectationWell the Courier has just collected the springs and they are now returning to Milners. Hopefully they should be there by Tuesday at the very latest so will now have to sit tight for a week and see what happens.
I hope it doesn't turn into a similar battle to what Greg had CV's but if it does I've bought them using a credit card so can get them onto the case if need be and get a charge back but will update as and when I get a response from them. As a side note, they've still not replied to my previous E-mail
Re: MILNEROFFROAD - Am I being unrealistic in my expectationWe've had this type of issue with Milners in the past with their leaf springs. I remember having to take the grinder to them to get them to fit. I wasn't the only one either, yet they claimed no one else had had a problem. From memory they said the same sort of thing about selling out of the current batch before any changes could be made.
I used to rate them quite highly, but use them less and less now. Last thing I bought was a pair of belts for the troop, air-con/steering pump, they have stretched and slackened off twice already ![]()
Re: MILNEROFFROAD - Am I being unrealistic in my expectationWell I checked my Bank account today and Yes Milners have refunded the cost of the springs back to my account.
However there's still been no response to my previous E-mail about the issue with the Drop Links, they've not made any contact to let me know they'd received the springs back or that they would be refunding my money and to top it all off the sump plug washers that I ordered from them (Yes I know I should have checked them when they arrived instead of the day I wanted to use them So out of the initial £100 + order I'd made with Milners only the Oil Filter was actually any good and as described. Top Job
