How much scrap for a stripped swb B ?

As above really , iv stripped my old truck ! Wheels, engine , gearbox , drive shafts , bonnet and a couple of other bits !
Any idear what the scrap man will give ? ( that's him coming to get it aswel )

You will get anything from £50 to £120 depending on the scrap man

my lwb with the same things removed as yours was £143. But as Andy says , it depends on the yard and current value.

Probably doesnt help much but scrap is £135 a tonne here at the moment......i would always say take yourself if you can, cut out the middle man.

Just out of interest, do they go by the VIN plate for the weight that they pay out on or have most of the got some sort of weighing device?
Where I'm coming from is it worth filling the back up with more scrap metal to get rid of and pay out on.

They have a weighbridge in the yard Pete, and weigh you in and out...

Like you say its worth loading with all the cr4p you can get away with...I usually sweep the yard, that goes in spare well on in footwells...running a hosepipe into seats and carpets will add a few more kg too.

Its worth depoluting it fully so it can go straight in shearings sooner than end of life, get more money that way, and if the car is heavilty stripped anyway it might only mean to draining maybe some brake fluid/ps fluid/diff oils, but its worth it.

Took mine to scrappy today , well the one i was stripping.

Got £180 for it, gearbox and full interior and one axle. everything else was removed.
