Quote me NOT happy!

Well this is weird. Quote Me Happy were the insurers on our side when my Mum was crashed into and our old Fronty written off, and so I put the new Fronty with them for the remainder of the insurance - it ran out this month. Now I can't renew with them as they say the car isn't valid for their insurance!

I wonder if they don't want us back because of the accident, even though it wasn't Mum's fault and we haven't claimed anything (other than the courtesy car as we were fully comp) on this policy.

I can't go through GoCompare for prices as if I tick the box for an accident in the last 5 years regardless of fault they want to know an amount being claimed for - haven't got a figure for this as the claim is ongoing. Can't get a quote from other comps as Quote Me Happy have removed my documents from my account and I can't get proof of the NCD.

Oh, and we're up to the ears with snow and having to tow the other car out with the Fronty so we can go get some sheep feed in!!

Give them a call and ask what they are playing at. Also ask for a rough figure on the claim amount...that or just guess the amount you think they'll payout for the truck. Then you can use comparison sites. I can't remember how much my claim was for so I just have a guess and no one seems to care if its wrong or not.

If no joy, then they're part of Aviva, so you might have another option by ringing them instead.

Ah well, their loss. Aviva couldn't help but were able to give me a quote to at least prove the vehicle isn't uninsurable, sadly it was way too much! Last year I was paying about the high 200s but they wanted £470 or something daft. Finally found a good price thro the Meerkats using Zurich and it came in at £260 fully comp with 0 NCB and 2 additional drivers. The only thing it doesn't include is breakdown but that can be sourced elsewhere.

Good job I got that sorted, snowed in here today, heavy drifting and we when we finally get back out it'll be in the Fronty rather than the car me thinks!

I would put £0 down as you are not claiming off your insurance. Probably wrong, but thats what I would do.
