Need a rant

Recently i have offer a number of parts to members on this forum, all seems ok and pm's are sent confirming.

Then it goes all quiet, if people no longer want the parts why cant they just send a quick pm saying "thanks for the offer but i am all sorted now"

Doesnt take long does it !!!!!!!

I could go on further but really cant be bothered to waste my time any more.

Don't take it personally, it happens to all of us

People make promises via e-mail / PM that all sound good and then they go away, realize they don't have the money and know they can just lay low as all of this is done via the relative anonymity of siting behind a computer screen.
I've lost count of the number of deals that where the "definitely be there tomorrow mate" variety and then wait around for hours and no show then no reply to PM's. I just take any offer's or sales of any kind with a pinch of salt now.
As Boxy says, the deals not done until the cash is in your hand and I'm afraid to say that someones word is worth very little nowadays.

I had that recently with my Nissan ... everything ready to go and the buyer texted me at the last minute and pulled out with a real half arsed cock and ball story. It was obvious he didn't want it despite the promises.

Its happened to me with free stuff.......go figure

And quite a lot with the people who say they buy stuff and donate to FOG (through the generosity of the seller) but we never see a penny

I feel your pain on this one but its just the way it kinda goes when selling parts. And you're right when you say that manners cost nothing
