long standing c20

hi
well this weekend i am going to look at a c20 fronty that has been standing for a few years.
so i wondered what i should look at etc... any thing that is known that is fun when it is left for a wile?
and was going to check the timing belt befor starting it....
and befor it goes for mot all fluids will be changed.

That sounds about it but if handbrake been left on it might be stuck. If it runs ok after all the checks and a nice drop of new fuel then pop it in 4 wheel and you should be able to brake them free. Hope its ok Fudge!!!

before taking it for a test drive check the wheel nuts are tight

Check theres no nest in engine bay..

ask the owner/keeper why it's been stood for soo long, and if it's been started reguarly. check for rabid cats living inside..(there is a scrappy in north wales that seems to home rabid cats in fronty's..Box will knoiw the one i mean)

check the rubber hoses on the the brakes and expect the rear brake cylinders to burst..seal will be dry and possibly on the brittle side..

i allready know why it has been standing
there shouldnt be any cats around... since the owners owns a big dog ...
and i have factored into the cost for new hoses etc..
and i didnt think about cylinders..
now factored them in... only 10er each for new ones....
