Does anybody no were the fuel filter is on this piece of rubbish ! NEVER BUY 1 GENTS !

if its a 1.6hdi by the side of the engine/ airfilter right at the back of the engine it will take you a hour to fit if its your first one

If you'll kindly excuse the crude editing .... its under that turbo pipe. Unscrew the jubilee clips under each um.. lightning bolts .. , be mindful of the pcv connector under the red dot and once removed , you should be looking at Something that looks like this:

Yep! Those engines have made their way into Peugeots, Citroens, Mazdas, Volvos and Fords to name but a few so I've seen them every so often. They can be contrary lumps but credit where its due, theyre a bloody lively engine with good fuel consumption to boot!

Thinking its go beyond the fuel filter now ! Motor farted and died last night ! " deposition system faulty " and a flash of low oil pressure before screaming stop and cutting out ! Starts again , managment light stays on with with pollution thingy on computer !
Minute ya go over 35ish " stop" and it dies again !

Oh.... I've heard horror stories alright. Dual mass flywheels, injectors, tb tensioners, particulate filters and turbos. If "Low oil pressure" is coming up and the level is ok, I'd be worried about the turbo. Bearings may have gone is it smokey?.. Here's hoping im wrong

Not a drop of smoke ! Oil is perfect !!!!!!!! I'm at a loss with this heap
Depolution thing came up a couple of time but went before I could get it the garage ! I hate the thing give me a old motor with no sensors any day of the week

Might just be the exhaust particle filter needs a good blow out. But if you can't get up to speed without the engine dying, that advice isnt useful.. I'd hope for the best. Mabye the problem is around that or the egr valve has stuck open? At any rate keep us posted. Me mum has been lucky so far with her Picasso. 180,000 and only a clutch switch and brake switch.

Ooooooo it's going to my local guy ! He's got a good set up , they do all the recovery for green flag etc !!! Plus he sends a bill so ya have time to prepair for it

With regards to the anti-pollution thing, me dad's had similar issues with his Citroën C5 (2002 reg 2.2hdi) - I think he was quoted something like £80 for the fluid alone for that from a Citroën garage, but in the end opted to pay a local chap about £150 to get the doser system removed. It just means it smokes more and probably gives higher CO2 particulate concentrations on the MOT exhaust emissions tests but still works okay and passes the MOT.

As more and more things go wrong with modern motors - 6x seperate computer networks on that C5 alone apparently! - I'm happy to have my Fronty!

Was the fuel filter clogged up mate ! Plus egr playing games and in need of new glow plugs according to the stealer !
All in all best part of a grand !!!!

Jesus!! I'm sorry to hear that mate.. Unfortunately I know nothing of the immobiliser on them, aside from basic tips like checking key batteries, using the other key if its around and disconnecting the car battery for a while... Heres hoping it's nothing bad

Just gone to it with the spare and it fired up without a issue ! I hate this thing sooooo much lol
