Went to see this one tonight http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281009263892? ... 1423.l2649 needs two tyres and the computer and rev counter don't work, so made him a low offer but he wouldn't budge from £790 and being Polish there was a slight language problem.
Bit worried as on full lock the tyres seemed to judder a bit.
Was I right to walk away or do we think £790 is an ok price?

it's not dear, but it ain't a steal either. I've seen these change hands for 700 and less recently.

Dunno if thats as simple as that... According to the pics the tyres look kinda standards size, and from the description one of the front tyres needs changing so I would assume its on the limit...
And for standard size tyres that are worn out to be rubbing kinda makes me think that something more major is wrong...
Oversize nobblies with huge side lugs cause rubbing issues sometimes but I wouldnt expect that with stock size road tyres that are near the end of their life.

Some further investigation of this might be worthwhile before commiting to buy....

Got another SWB 2.0 S reg in the end, needs work on the brakes but otherwise looks ok, taxed and mot's til early next year.

Good find, looks nice and tidy. The brakes shouldn't take much sorting, then you got yourself a good motor.

Cheers, yeah I managed to free up the tailgate catch and lock today and found one of the little clips that hold the windows on is broken which is why the driver's window keeps falling off it's runners.

Just about got one off the other car when the heavens opened again so will continue tomorrow.

Apparently the previous owner didn't use the back door much, which is why it was seized up.
