Just upgraded my phone to a new shiny Samsung Galaxy 3s (my first Android OS after the WP7 of the HTC and Windows Mobile ob the XDA prior ro that)
As I experienced on WM7, there are a lot of crAPPS around - can anyone reccomend any good (free or other wise) ones ?
Currently have found the Sky+ planner, Flikr & Photobucket, and a MS Office compatible editor/view (but doe not handle later office versions.
Would like a star map chart and a moon phase jobbie too.

Google Sky Map is a preety good free app for star charting. Just point it any where, (even at the ground) and it'll chart and name the major stars and constelations it's looking at

Twitter - The standard app is great but doesnt allow for multiple accounts. Kindle App - Self explanatory Explosm - Cyanide and Happiness cartoons (CAUTION VERY DARK HUMOR)Speedview lite - Great speedo app! GPSTracker Lite (app is by Gabor Telek) - Great GPS tracker app that tracks you and does and overlay onto googlemaps.. ITV Player - Self explanatory Stick Cricket - Great little game 2x Client - Great RDP client ConvertPad - Great for converting units of any kind. Space Images - For those of us who like SPAAAAACE! Auto Trader - Shazam - Great for naming that tune. Firefox - Gret alternative browser incase something wont load on the standard one (which to be fair is pretty rare these days) Kingsoft Office - Will handle latest office apps Gmote - Use your phone as a PC remote!
Rule #3: Don't believe what you're told. Double check

Nice phone I would recommend: ebay, reduce photo size, for resizing pictures to post here for example dropbox, for keeping track and backup of your files everywhere from all pcs and phones (keeping your Frontera Todo list updated and available...)etc Flaslight, obvoius Jota text editor, super for notes etc (editing your Frontera Todo list...) File manager, for keeping track of where things are stored in the phone MX Videoplayer, play "difficult" internet videos Swiftkey, awesome keyboard with smarttap adaptive memmory

Nice one, just got one after years with a HTC HD2 and WinMo 6.5
Not my first Android device, have a Asus Transformer which is great but have found a few apps that work well on the tablet but don't scale down to the S3
TBH the S3 is a great phone, but am feeling a little underwhelmed with it but dunno why, not sure if it is the additional bloatware added on top of Android by Samsung that is putting me off

Some good suggestions on the list and a few I haven't found yet but will be trying out
Dropsync for Dropbox, not free but gives you better options for choosing folders to sync plus a multitude of other options to preserve your bandwidth usage Tapatalk (pity it is not useable on FOG)

The S3 should come with the official Dropbox client already installed, if you signup from your phone they will give you 50Gb of online space free for 2 years
