Prior to the Fronty I had a Range Rover with a mazda 3.5tdi which I cut and welded into mean machine. I'd post photos if I new how. Can email them to some one if they would be so kind as to post them up. Sold it to a guy up Nottingham way. You would know it if you saw it as it's one of a kind. It was 2 hard top pinted Yellow with black wings and roof.

Seems to have had always an affinity to non tarmac roads...


1985-1990 Ford Fiesta 1600ccm Diesel - engine constructed by KHD Klöckner-Humboldt Deutz
Very reliable, took me 159.000 km far - soled after an accident, which was not my fault!

1993-1994 VW Golf GTD Madison in green - reliable, but expensive (insurance, maintanance)


1994-2002 VW Passat Variant 2.0i - first I started to do some repairs on my own. And mods, as you see...
Very reliable, bought with 73.000 km, sold to a russian with 258.000 km. Repair of the seal between engine and gearbox was leaking, repair was tree times higher than the value of the car, no MOT without...

2002 VW Polo - not good for traveling on German motorways! Did about 2500 km a month at that time...


MINI One The Mrs' daily driver before she "occupied" the Frontera... Before that she had Rover 214i, Opel Kadett, Daihatsu Feroza, Dodge RAM, Opel Manta and her Cross-Bike Dominator.


2002-2005 SAAB 9-3 2.0i (2000)


2005-2012 Companies cars like VW Passat 1.9 tdi or Ford Mondeo before and after the VW I did not like. Not quite reliable in my opinion. Ford very reliable!
Did ~ 4-5000 km a month for the job.

My personal list of driven cars ever (beginning with driving school cars - including ambulances/vans during work or rentals even for a few hours) counts now 187...
