No problems, had a modded mondeo with them a few years back and they were one of the few that will touch modded cars and 4x4. Trev 2000 Frontera 2.2 DTi Ltd
Re: Adrian fluxI'm insured with Adrian Flux, I brought the 94 Fronty Sport 2 years ago for the snow.
My main car is insured with AF also under a prestige policy, so started a 2nd car policy with AF. First year was £270 3rd Party limited to 3000 miles, this year £400 !!! But I did make a claim on my main car insurance after some scum bag crashed a trolley into the wing in Sainsbury's carpark so they decided to put up my Fronty insurance aswell, I HATE insurance companies!! My AF policy also covers green laning. Been driving 21 years so that may make a difference?
Re: Adrian fluxOnce my fronty was too modified to insure with any normal insurers i went through Adrian flux and got insurance with red star which covers me for pay and play sites and green laning too. After writing it off (on the road) they paid out no bother and with 1 years no claims now on that policy its £1000. Prices have gone up horrendously recently though!
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
Re: Adrian fluxHi,pick up my 1st 2.2 1999 fronty on friday,so time to get insurance sorted.Went online to the usual comparison sites, tryed Aflux, the chap was quite stern, there quote was £393 f/comp 700excess no no claims protection, and quite a lot of exclusions. So went back online, then got a phone call from sureterm,a bit of haggling...£178 f/comp 300 excess green laning included, protected no claims, and so on,so it pays to shop around
Re: Adrian fluxIv had to go tpft if i went fully comp it was double

Reason: quote removed as poster is only above
Re: Adrian fluxJust reinsured the 94, 2.0 Sport at Adrian Flux.
They quoted £435.00 TPFT as its my second car with only 2 years NCB against it. However when I contacted them and challenged the price I got it down to £345.00 TPFT with a £100 excess. Worth going on comparison sites and then asking AF to match or better it. Cost me £405 last year with 1 years NCB

Re: Adrian fluxI have been insured with Co-op for the past 18 years. I have never found cheaper. Believe me, every year I try.
Had three major price hikes over the years. Last one because my occupation went from hgv driver to unemployed. My insurance went up £100 a year. Other 2 were for drastic vehicle changes. Escort MK3 to Pug 309GTi in one case. And Escort mk5 to Vauxhall Senator in other. But my insurance has never been more than £500. Even at 18 years old (in 1994) with a MK3 Escort 1.6 ghia, it was £320. A friend was paying £930 for an Orion 1.3 at the time. Even when I had my modified Pug (Lowered, chipped, big bore and big brakes) the insurance was only £410. Back then though, I dealt with an agent. Nowadays it's call centres. I had a bit of trouble trying to get them to accept my LDV200. Because it was ex MOD, it was re-plated at 3.5 tons instead of 2.5 tons, and it had a dirty fuel system fitted. They refused to believe that it was plated at 3.5 tons. I had to email them a photo of the plate. Also, I had to insure it on the VIN and not the number plate. Because it is ex MOD (government), the number plate wasn't on the national computer that police and insurance use. According to their computers, the numberplate did not exist. I had the van around the same time ANPR came out. I was forever getting stopped by the police because my plate would flag up as not existing. It still doesn't. I just used dvla vehicle check. An Escort I owned 17 years ago is there, but the LDV I owned 6 years ago isn't.
