Re: e bay adviceI would say best way is to list it at low starting bid, add pics to text area so that avoids paying for each pic you add.
hope that someone contacts you with a cash offer that you find reasonable and then end auction early, hence avoiding all fees. However starting low you do run the risk that no one will bid until last minute, so either add a reserve or get a friend to assist with bidding power...
Re: e bay adviceIn basic the fees will be about £8 to list it, then they will take 10% of the final selling price if you do it by auction or buy it now.
A classified listing is my preferred way of selling cars on ebay. The fee is higher - £15 or so if I remember correctly ( been a while now), but you can list it for 30 days and it tends to keep the nob ends away. An auction may or may not get you the price you want. You can introduce a reserve, but then some people always want to know the reserve, and will then approach you to sell it off ebay for that amount (coz that's the minimum you're prepared to take). IMO it's annoying and ebay take far too much. £108 for a car you sell for £1000 Classified ads will still attract people, but a sale may take a little longer so no good if you want a quick sell. You can put things like "open to offers", "advertised elsewhere" etc, as ebay don't take any further fees. It also attracts a more serious type of buyer, so less time wasters. But always be as honest as possible and list as many know faults as you can, but highlight at least two positives for each negative. That way buyers are not put off. Don't say things like "needs doing". Why does it need doing. Is it because it's too expensive that's why you've not done it???? Don't photo it outside your house. Find a nice grassy field and take the photos there. I nice background in the photos helps entice people to view. Always make sure it's viewer ready. Finally, price it in mind that people will want it knock you down and make them think they are getting a bargain Traffic lights in London are just rough guidelines
Re: e bay advicei have sold several cars and trucks on e bay straight away its £10 listing fee then a final selling fee usually £20 so your looking at £30 to start then if you sell it and want paypal payment they will charge you a fee
