Re: V6...A heavy foot
Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs
Re: V6...as kees has already said - fuel consumption, the v6 on average uses slightly more fuel than the 2.2 but being an auto that will be slightly more again compared to a manual,
but ofcourse you will be enjoying the extra power WHY AINT I GOT AN ALL SINGING & ALL DANCING SIGNATURE LIKE BOXY & DRIFTY ?

Re: V6...Even when mine has had some rough running issues (really bad a few weeks ago 02 sensors) it never failed to start or take me where i wanted to go, round trips of upto 130 miles. The full tank goes a bit like this

Re: V6...and the biggy if your doing a lot of miles in then bite the bullet and get it onto lpg as i know its cheap up our way around the 65p a litre mark last time i was up that way and it males it cheap as hell to run.
i went to coast this weekend and drvieing like a vicar i get to 74.2 miles when it hit the 2.8 gallon mark which is what i currently get for a tenner but then reverted back to a normal V6 holligan and got up to 180 miles before i filled the lpg tank off and it cost me under 35 to fill it off makeing it cheaper to run than a 1.8 focus. but like the guys have said cam belt while our have it in bits lift off the carbs and do your thermosate if it takes longer than 5 miutes for heating to be like a volcano just keep an eye in the oil as some v6 do drink it a bit but other than keep an eye on the speedo as the thing will haply give you 3 points without a second thought as it will happly cruise past the tonne if you have the chance of a track day to give it some stick lol but welcome to club and i do have a fair few spares if you find you need anything give me a shout cheers

Re: V6...Keep an eye on the inlet manifold gaskets. If they blow the enging will run uneven and it will drink fuel even worse. I replaced mine a few months ago. Not to bad a job but the gaskets were £110. Hope yours is all good.
FRONTERAS ARE NOT FOR SCHOOL RUNS
Re: V6...dave should of given me a shout among the spares i have in the shed are a set of intlet gaskets that have done less than 50miles as the cam seized on the engine after a rebuild so they where stripped out and removed an put tin the shed when i weighed the engine in after the replacement was fitted
cheers
