Re: FOG Annual Meet-2012 ***REVIEW THREAD***Well then what can I say but a massive thank you to you all for attending
We do apologise about Rob Horses (I hid his medication) For me this surpassed my wildest expectations, the banter was brilliant as where the people and the socialising, just chilled and funny. This would not be possible without your support as members and the everyone who helped out including Rob and Audra for their never faulting support for the FOG Annual Meet. And thank you to Maria for the FOG cake, it was magnificent and a fantastic surprise. I know I have missed people off but I am knackered lol So Thank You All Now then, I have found out why Rob jumped into a pond, It seems we where drink it the night before Then the RSPCA came to try and get the whale out to sea A few random pictures, oh and an apology to Ratcav, sorry for soaking you Neil when the water came through my air vents pmsl Gazzeddy, no food but just enough to drink Speechless lol For Ratcav lol my air vent is still clogged Robs having water removed The hub glove And now the vids And finally, hide the kids, Rob didnt realise he was being filmed, he thought I had a torch pmsl We didnt go to bed till 05.30 that evening Ste

Re: FOG Annual Meet-2012 ***REVIEW THREAD***Well, a huge thank you to all that turned up. I hope you all enjoyed the weekend as much as me and Ste did. We truely have some fantastic members who always make for an interesting annual meet, and it makes the work of organising it all all the more worthwhile.
Also, a big big thank you to Rob and Audra for all their help over the weekend. It just wouldn't be the same without you guys lookin after the BBQ and raffle! And as for the mankini ... Wel, the less said about that the better ... Sadly I didn't win the stuck truck award, even if I did get stuck before I even got on the campsite! I didn't take many pics I'm afraid. Left that to Jojo to take care of. Give us a couple of months to get over this meet and I'll start the ball rolling on next years. Jay

Re: FOG Annual Meet-2012 ***REVIEW THREAD***
Let me just make it completely clear, that water was bloomin' FREEZING!!! Especially as I'd jettisoned the wellies at that point for just my socks as the water was deeper than the wellies anyhow. My toes have only just started to feel warm again Many thanks to Fudge and his 5ft winch cable for pulling the car backwards enough that I was pointing straight down the hill again and could drive out a different way. As has been said before, thank you to the Admin for organising, this was my third Annual now and just as enjoyable as the previous. Thanks also to everyone who attended, even if you couldn't stay long - there'd be no fun, and no point, without you. Bonus brownie points to Thomas & Tamara, and Ian & Marion who led a determined German invasion - hope you guys make it home alright. And to Stu, cheers for putting together the laning bud. I know it didn't work quite as advertised, but that's not your fault, just give the council Rights of Way Officers some verbal from me, eh? To Neal (RC) and Andy (tats) for dismantling my engine enough to check the glowplugs out after I swallowed a little water after my recovery. I'm sorry I went and did it again on Sunday Lastly, but by no means least, to all those who voted me "Most spectacular stuck truck". Got to be some kind of achievement though, 2 minutes in to a run round the tamer bits of the course, and I've got everyone beat?? Jim...

Re: FOG Annual Meet-2012 ***REVIEW THREAD***Well what can I say. It was my first full annual (last year I only dropped in for the day) and I thoroughly enjoyed it from the first minute. Great to meet all the faceless names that you banter with on the forum and share a beer or ten with.
Many thanks to the admin and friends who got together and organised/ran the event. Without you these things would never get organised and judging by the comments so far we are all appreciative of the work you guys put in. Several things I will never forget, one being Horses mankini incedent but fair play to him for being a good sport and not only providing his "special" form of entertainment, but also going to the extreme for a raising money for charity. Other memorable moments: Winning the piston cup Thanks very much lads. Though it really does go to Gregster as he did all the work. A good testament to his skills and support of the group (even though I did become his 1am councillor most days ) Drifty water troughing and soaking my leg in water as it came gushing out his air vents all over me. Andytats steam cleaning his engine and exhaust ... on the inside! ... TWICE!!! and getting away with it (new found respect for the 2.5 TDS) Wilberforce for most epic "most stuck truck" manoeuvre. Wilberforce steam cleaning his engine and exhaust ... on the inside! ... TWICE!! and getting away with it (though not nearly as spectacular as Andytats) Watching Hipo1024 towing an A series (twice) as opposed to him getting stuck. First time for everything it seems. Witnessing the dedication the Group has to one another when things go wrong and we all pull out the stops to assist. In this particular case helping JEOH out when his fuel pump stopped working and the FOG commitment to drop his fuel tank, replace the pump with another sourced from Milton Keynes, rewire the loom to the fuel pump, and get everything back together again so he could drive back to Germany under his own steam. Well done lads, your all champions. Anyways just a few more pictures and I will sign off: Project JEOH Roxie waiting for Daddy (Wilberforce) to get pulled out of the mud Bobbins blowing bubbles in the woods Blowing water out of Wilberforces intercooler using turbo power Once again lads many many thanks and roll on next year!! Re: FOG Annual Meet-2012 ***REVIEW THREAD***we'd just like to say thanks to everyone for making it a brilliant annual meet again. We had a fantastic time and Maria really enjoyed it too. each year gets better than the last. And the biggest plus, I actually made it home in the truck this year not with the AA for a change, unlike poor old Dan who's alty packed in and with no wipers or lights and it tipping with rain on the way home was forced to call the recovery. hope you got home safe mate.

Re: FOG Annual Meet-2012 ***REVIEW THREAD***Due to an impromptu absence this winter, I was a late comer to putting my name down to join in what has surely become a “must do” annual event. This year I was not privy to the behind-the-scenes discussions and organisation, but I must say that the weekend ran superbly, thanks to the hard work and determination of those who brought this event together Whilst a number of familiar faces were not present (and missed), there were definitely a number of new ones. Once again it is humbling to see a number of new and shiny trucks mixing it with the modified’s. Personally, I really did appreciate the 1-2-1 discussions regarding motor sport, photography and the progression of my truck – I hope you went away with a similar amount of satisfaction as I did – I thank you for your time. Those pictures are not too bad for snap shots I suppose – I’ll work on some hi-res ones in the week. Once again our Opel visitors were true ambassadors for their country. I do look forward to meeting you again, perhaps with a little more green lane mileage next time, eh I hope next year my truck will be in finer fettle, and I’ll join you in a little mud plugging A great weekend – thank you for having me. Nice to see how FOG once again pulled a rabbit out of a hat when JEOH broke down. Hope you and Mrs. JEOH got home OK Don't grow up, just get bigger toys
