As i been asking so many questions, thought i would share this, might make you chuckle

Wife drops me at work yesterday morning, takes car to her work and parks up.

Lunchtime comes, i walk to pick up car so can get daughter after work ( i finish earlier than wife)

Central locking not working? Strange? Open door with key. Turn key in ignition, nothing? Look at light switch - ON! She left the bloody headlights on for 5 hours!

Walk back to work ANGRY.

Arranged mate to get me from work and give me a jump.

Get to the truck, connect all jump leads, gets in car, turns key - NOTHING!??

get out car (with key still in ignition) closes the door, fiddles with jump leads incase they not connected.

I get connection, alarm starts going, AND THE BLOODY DOORS LOCK!! (this wouldnt be so bad but i only have 1 key!!)

so after an hour of swearing i start ringing around locksmiths, cheapest quote £75, or i break rear window!?

my friend is memebr of RAC, we pretend he was in car with me they agree to come out.

when he turns up, he refuses to do anything as he says we cant prove my mate was in car!! After a BIG row and shouting they knew all this on the phone, he agrees to try.

Coathanger down my door and 2 mins later the door opens!! HAPPY DAYS!!!

He still bloody drove off though and left me dead, had to jump myself (this time with the keys in my hand )

2 minutes, you can tell he wasn't from Liverpool or hull lol. That happened to me once and it is scary how easy it is to get into tbh. Lived in hull for quite a while though so once had the coat hanger was in pretty fast hahaha

A coat hanger?
How unprofessional as usual. Thats why I dont have anything to do with the RAC.
I used to be a breakdown mechanic, and if he had the correct tool, he would have had it opened at the first attempt.
They could have damaged your trim or paintwork with the coathanger, and had a claim on their hands.

Never ever leave your keys in the car if its fitted with central locking. (Learned the hard way eh?)

My ex wife called them out after a faulty fuel guage caused her to run out of fuel a few years back.
She had never ever been towed before, yet the guy towed her on a webbed strap at 60mph on the motorway.
When they arrived at a fuel station, he was trying to start the car while she was filling it up.
HELLO. STATIC!!!!!!!!!!!

i use the rac and have no problems with them cam in rudder hand when my v6 dropped dead in the middle of lincolnshire and being a auto had to be put on a flat bed only took 6 hours do get it the hundred or so miles home and that was including stopping for me to get some scran as was staving and the last time i had to get them out his computer might not have talked ot my v6 correctly but he guy got me home killed the clutch in his we van towing me up the hill and he had to get them to come and trailer him away but never let me down yet.

its nice to know for a £10 a month i can kill it anywhere and that includeds off road and as long as i can get it back onto tarmac they will take it not even argued when it died as it was hangin underneath the flat bed needed to be jet washed by the time we got back as i dumped a fair few stone of Lincolnshires finest mud all over his truck
