Our Motor Club (Streetly Motor Club) arranged a visit to the David Sutton Motorsport Museum in Daventry. Some lovely machinery there, that you can sit in, open the bonnets etc.

The best brown trouser car I ever owned was a 4.7 litre Sunbeam Tiger, it was really dangerous if you gave it a bit of wellie on the bends, but that was all part of the fun and there but for the grace of god Etc.,

I love all these old Rally cars, it really takes me back, but there again I was a lot younger then, and now I don't think I'd have the bottle anymore to go tearing around risking life and limb

Those were the days when I was immortal, I used to race the little 850 Minis and wrote a couple off, I've got a busted collar bone from hitting an oak tree backwards at 80mph it didn't do the car much good either

used to love them old mk1 escorts a mate and i modded a few of them I also used to own a mk1 carpi i did away with the old 1.3 engine and bunged a 1.6 cross flow in it and yes i did the inside out in fur it looked the muts nuts then first time i got it road legal i took it for a spin round the estate came round i tight corner and took the wall/fence and the hedge out on the other side of the road and ended up rolling it oh the good old days

my first road car after passing my test was a mk11 escort although not an rs was great fun to drive though

but the one to have and they are as rare as gold was the mk1 rs1800 with the 1780 bda engine in it only ever seen 1 of them
