Re: Passed MOTWell done, such a relief.
it's even better over here when the MOT (CT) lasts for 2 years,(€65),done ours a couple of weeks ago. John Last edited by olympus16270 on Mon Mar 12, 2012 5:20 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Passed MOTIt was actually debated recently, and of course it was thrown out,so you are stuck with yearly.
Also no road tax here, but that saving can be wiped out on the use of toll roads. John
Re: Passed MOTAdded to that the 2 year test is a lot more stringent than ours and if I remember correctly there are very strict rules on modified cars.

Re: Passed MOTWell,
according to this European thinking stuff also here in Germany they discuss to halfen the time between the Hauptuntersuchung HU = main detection (actually valid 24 months, cost ~ 100Eur). But the tests will be the same, at the same costs. They say it is necessary to prevent accidents causing death of people. From my POV the accidents are caused mainly by speed, lack of distance and mp3 listening pedestriants and cyclists... They only want more money! Btw - gratulations for the next 12 months. Take care of your car, at least you keep it in good condition not for the MOTguys?! What fee ist it in the UK? Kind regards,
Ian Sorry for my pigeonenglish. ![]() My doctor says I have to invest time in SPORT
Re: Passed MOTI think your correct, people cause more accidents than mechanical faliures.
We get charged between £40 and £55 unless a garage has a special offer at the time. Ste
