watched this last night...pretty obvious something was gonna give up... no surprise its the front diff !!
more impressive would of been to see him climb gently up and over the rock using the torque from the engine! instead of flat out max revs and lots of wheel spin,, resulting in lots of noise ,zero control of the fronty at the top, and wreckin a diff.

Wonder why he didnt air down, would have given a load more grip and stopped it bouncing around so much

Ermmm its not a fronty, its an Mu so it has trooper diffs lol

That would explain why he got to the top of hill before the diff broke then, as the fronty one would have broke on the first attempt I am starting to sound like a landy owner
That said I have never seen any physical evidence to say the trooper diffs are stronger than the fronty ones

At 3:05 his mate asks "have you got your front locker in?", so they ain't standard diffs. Plus if you look right at the end it looks to me like he still has drive at the front

They also say towards the end that his CV has gone. If it was locked at the front then the CV's are the next thing to go when torturing a vehicle like that.

Correct, its something I am surprised we dont see more CV problems, the guys on PlanetIsuzoo seem to suffer bust CV's a lot

That's because they all have lockers over there Drifty

That vid above as well indicates bust CV as it was clattering when the wheels are turned, but went quiet when straight.

LWL suffered CV failures with the welded front diff...but a when I welded the rear as well it sorted that, the CV's were fine then!

I just blew up the powersteering then!!
