You may have 2 policies at them moment but IIRC you can only transfer one of the no claims bonus to another company or vehicle.
This is to prevent insurance fraud as you could have an accident in your Rover 75 and loose your NCD then try to use the one earned on your LR against your 75 when you reinsure next time.
As such your best option is to take out a 2nd car policy.
2nd car policies are much cheaper but as they are 2nd cars your mileage will be limited, normally to around 5000 miles per year. (If you are lucky and can prove the need for extra mileage you can get this. When I took mine out I pointed out that I do a lot of green laning. A trip to Wales for me is 500miles + round trip. Add 2 days laning (200miles) and I have done 15% of my annual limit in one weekend. As such my insurers have given me a higher limit to allow for this).
Also with 2nd car policies you generally don't earn a NCD for the reasons stated above, you do not get travelling to and from work and you do not get 3rd party cover to drive other peoples vehicles as you would be expected to get this extra cover on your 1st insurance policy.
There are a few companies to try as suggested above.
Adrian Flux 0800 369 8590
Noel Dazely 01276 25996
Glynwood Insurance 01543 675163
Sureterm Direct 0800 999 2030
There are lots of opinions on all of these as to who's good, who's expensive etc.
Personally I have been with AF and found them cheap in the first year, then silly money to renew.
Sureterm are ok if you don't modify or only have basic mods to your 4x4
Noel Dazely & Glynwood can both offer the sought after "Highway Modified Vehicle" policy which most of us that do serious laning or off roading have. Prices for this policy appear to be coming in around £220-£280 depending on your age & location for an A series, fully comp. TFT will probably be under £200.
Also all of the above recogsnise "Frontera Owners" as a group and will normally give extra discount if you mention your are a member here.
