Fetched the new frontera :-D

Finally found a 2.2dti that ive been after, went to fetch it after work and very happy with it. Not as new as i hoped but its in good condition in and out.
T reg 1999. Just need to sort out the speedo / clocks that are playing up.
Anyone got any ideas or come accross this this problem before, the speedo isnt working, the rev counter works when the side lights are on and the lights in the panel seem dim. Not sure if its a wiring problem rather than faulty clocks but every frontera ive been to look at has ahd the same fault so i take it that its fairly common. Will put some pics on when i can take some in the light.

I had a similar problem on my 01' 2.2 petrol, changed the light control unit n all was well again, til sumatelse broke!

I believe it's a fairly common problem with the B-Series dashboards. If you're reasonably confident with a soldering iron you can follow the guide in this thread to fix it... viewtopic.php?f=50&t=10226#p116585

nice and clean, hope its got a good hand brake on it because that looks a steep road

LOL, happy with it so far, thats not where i live, i was at a customers but the road is very steep
