transglobe differences

ive got a 1998 r reg'd frontera transglobe. i'd like to know what is different or special about it compared to a 'normal' frontera? does it mean i can drive it round the globe on a tank of diesel? (i wish)

is that all lol i thought it may have an extra button or a switch someware and maybe a bit of padding in a strange place in the seats.

There should be a TransGlobe brochure in the forum site somewhere - remember reading it a while back and it gives a brief insight to the expedition and the resultant commemorative cars.

thanks for that. it made for a very interesting read especialy the dimensions, weights, tow weights and mpg extimates. maybe when i eventually get the fuel guage working properly i can compare and it wont seem so thirsty

perhaps a selection of us transglobe owners should badger vauxhall to sponsor a commemorative re-run i wouldn't say no to getting vauxhall to pay for a round the world trip i am full ideas that would never happen

as ive mensioned on a different thread i am also a member of the austin a30 &a35 owners club and they hold annual rallies that are held in different european countries each year and owners and enthusiasts drive from all over europe to shows some even drove from holland one year to the uk in a 50 odd year old 1litre car. ive not been a member on here for very long but maybe there should be an annual frontera only show.
