Re: v6 swbyep as standard accorind to parkers a litle less http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/reviews/facts-and-figures/vauxhall/frontera/estate-1991/15812/
Performance Engine Size 3165 cc Cylinders 6 0-60 mph 10.1 secs Top Speed 116 mph Power Output 202 bhp Valves 24 Torque 290 Nm 214 lb-ft as it areodynamical as a brick it is hard to get it past 5000 revs in top but with the extra 50bhp it means it can be pushed to nearer 6000 revs it a little further into the wind before hitting the max the drag will allow it and that 500 to a 1000 revs is another 10mph to 20mph depending which way down the stip the wind is blowing. but it is not all about top speed most of the time its from a stand still to 40mph off the light thats the most fun i find ![]() and if you service them well then they are normally petty good cheers

Re: v6 swbDrinks mate they are on the whole not to bad, a few minor sensor problems and many suffer the inlet gasket failure but not major issues.
The main issue I would find is the cost a an exhaust, but nothing would be fun without a down side Ste

Re: v6 swbThis thread is doing me no favours at all! Kicking myself now for getting rid of mine, nowhere near as nice as your big blue submarine but missing it like mad!
Whats the odds of grabbing a cheapy cheap fronty in January??
Re: v6 swbdepends on the snow if the snow is light the price should fall as no one will be cashing in on the need for a 4x4 this is just my theroiry in saying that there is a few lwb v6 going for £700 which isnt too bad, doubt i could justiy breaking a 700 quid motor to fit into a swb to make an offroader to my wife never mind finding 700 quid

Re: v6 swbNothing like a Boy Racer put to shame by an Old Geezer in a V6 LWB Fronty. Christ these thing shift!. 17 ish in Town, and towing our 22 ft Mobile Chicane at Legal (ha ha) speeds i can get Mid 20s. Re-Map after Christmas, she aint fast enough as i got passed by a Lamborghini on the A1M Peterboro!.
Re: v6 swbThere is a rather nice "A" facelift 2.2 LWB out there for sale (not saying where! I want to still be there come Jan) not a special edition or owt but its got a factory sunroof, aircon and a few other bits, a non blowing exhaust and non cracked manifold! plus it has a TON of receipts for recent work all belts pumps brakes everything just done recently, fair bit of T&T, side steps soft nudge bar, loads of history no dings no rot! but these stories of v6's make me giggle at the thought leaving a few smug faces not so smug..
Do the V6's have the same stopping bits as the non V6's?
