Frontera A with 134k ?

I have been offered a fronter A cheap it has mot and tax till next year its the 2.0 sport on a p plate

it has covered 134k but has full service history and lots of receipts fro work done like cam belt water pump etcetc

is the millage one to worry about or should i go for it ?

also if i did go for it and say the engine gives up in a few months how much would it cost to replace the engine with a second hand one? i have seen some low millage
ones on ebay, but just wondering on fitting costs to do an engine swap ?

There are many 2.0l trucks with over 150k miles on the clock. As long as it starts and runs without any worrying knocks, clunks or bangs you should be ok.

As for how much for an engine change, it really depends on how much you want to get involved with the spanners. If you're willing to give it a go yourself with the help and advice of FOG then it will be the cost of the engine. If you take it to a garage then it would be a reasonably high bill I would imagine!

well phoned the bloke up today to arrange a time to view friday and he has sold it
told me yesterday he could not let me view it today as he was out all day ? why did he just not say he had someone else coming to see it before me today

I will do I may go look at a couple of 2.2 low mileage just hope if I do go for one of them they are not a dog

Don't let me put you off bud but everyone on here says stay away from the 2.2.... I'm sure I will get shot by a 2.2 owner now. Get a 2.8

only have a budget of about £1200 really i was hoping for a nice 2.0 sport but finding one is hard work

Unfortunately you are getting to the wrong time of the year to buy a 4x4, but there are bargains to be had if you keep your eyes open

Mate there are loads on ebay this one is a little expensive but has only doen 56k and it's taxed and tested!

It's not to far boss. Could always make a day out out of it with the missus etc or just hop on the train! wont be super expensive if you book on line.
