Price of scrapAnyone got an ear on the price of scrap just now? I've got a T reg Renault Laguna estate and an R reg Ford Fiesta Combi van to go, the guys just offered me £150 for the car and £100 for the van, does that sound about right? I'm in the NE Scotland in case that makes a difference, he was whinging how the price of scrap isn't much at the mo, yet I heard a while ago that the price was up and all the local scrappies were coining it in again

Re: Price of scrapI got £150 for a stripped corsa. So think your cars are worth more tbh. They fetch more on ebay as spares or repair
Re: Price of scrapI was under the impression this guy who advertises on vans parked around the local towns, was using the cars to export to other countries, which appealed to me as the Renault is certainly too good for scrap. Maybe I'll hang fire and look around a bit. Ta for info chaps.

Re: Price of scrap£130 a tonne down here in Northampton, however scrapped what was left of fronty, engine, gearbox and a bit of body and still got £175, so not to bad.

i used to buy a lot of motors but with the price of scrap and breakers round here offering £180 minimum any motor you cant buy them ! good luck with them !
