Thinking about selling my SWB and going back to a LWB

I am thinking about selling my R Reg Niagra sport (in my avatar pic) and going back to a LWB.

First i just wondered what they are going for (the SWB). Mine has get tax till begining of next yr and a fairly long MOT. All good tyres and its is in good condition in and out. Its done about 83500 miles i think but not much more if im wrong. I havnt had any problems with it , starts and runs perfectly, i could just do with more space for work.

The other thing is what to go for , I would prefer a diesel but i am not sure. Are they better on fuel? and how are they on performance. I need something very reliable as i am self employed so i could do with any advice on models that are common for having problems.

Any advice will be very much appreciated.

Current value around the £600 mark.

I would go for a 2.5 TDS LWB. Good economy, cracking performance.

ive seen a Sreg 2.2 td going for a reasonable price. Just wondered what these are like. They said the abs light is on but nothing showing on the computer so it might be a faulty sensor. Is that right and if it is what sort of price would it be to fix it ???

If it's a faulty ABS sensor, be prepared for an eye watering bill

They are £150 + VAT each and as far as I'm aware you can only get them directly from Vauxhall as I've never had any luck getting them any cheaper from any of my usual Motor Factors.
There are lots of good Frontys out there, if I where you I'd hang on for something without ABS issues as it can be expensive to rectify. I've also found that the sensors tend to crumble when you try and remove them so you've got very little chance of getting any decent second hand ones either.
Dodgy speedo's / clocks are normal on the B series so don't be put off by that if you come across that issue as it is a relatively cheap repair and most will have have rust starting to appear on the leading edge of the bonnet, another standard issue on the B's but again easy and cheap to rectify
