Was just wondering how they drive with that kind of mileage

How many miles has yours done
I have been looking at 2.8's over recent weeks and i have seen some with 190000 to 220000 miles on. Just got me thinking who's 2.8 on the fourm has the most miles
My old one had 94000 and drove great Was just wondering how they drive with that kind of mileage

174k and still going strong. And theres years left in the thing so long as I keep on top of the servicing.
This posting may have been helpfull, on the other hand probably not... Either way, I may have had drink when posting it in which case it's probably not as helpfull as it could have been
Work safe, and remember all technical problems can be resolved with a hammer, the trick is knowing where to hit it and how big a hammer to use (I often find it may also help to have a spare bit in the shed to replace the bit you have just mullered  )Work in Progress (or not as the case may be) I give you.... Flamed 2.8lwb 145k Chevybravafing 185km whatever that translates to... My mates 2.8 round the corner 206k But although its not a 2.8...Gareths 2.2dti is up my workshop and thats done 600k I think....plus about 80miles on a recovery truck getting to me as its now finally died! Stevd's Dti must be fast approaching the 275,000 mark by now, and I see no reason why a 2.8 tractor lump wouldn't do the same if not more. It would certainly go through less fuel pumps

I traded my Pinto engined Ford Capri many years ago with 153k. My 2.0 SWB Fronty has half that mileage so I'm just hoping it could reach that. 75k still to go at a rate of 3k per year, 25 years left in the Fronty???
