Re: Mot questionOnce a car's been written off by the Insurance Company, VOSA will no longer re-issue it's last certificate. It will need to be re-inspected and have a new MOT issued and if it was a Cat C, which if it needs a VIC test it will be, you will need to provide the new MOT at time of the check.
Re: Mot questionAnyway of me checking mots online so i can see if it had any advisories on the last one?cheers guys
Re: Mot questionYou'd need either the MOT test station number from the last test, or the document reference number from the V5, but I'm guessing you wouldn't have either of them
Re: Mot questionNot got any of them.Looks like i will need to mot and vic check the car. Then the documents get issued i think.
Re: Mot questionFirst it has to go for mot, once it has passed you than need to book it in for a vic check. Once the vic is done they will give you a letter that you can than apply for a log book. Just done my mot and now booking the vic check. (my nearest vic station is about 40 miles away
Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Re: Mot questionWith mine i don't have to pay for a new logbook but the car was in my name when it got creamed from behind. (cat c ) Even thou i handed the log book in to the insurance company when it was writter off i have since spoken to the dvla and the car is still in my name. Been a year since the accident.
