Jacking Points

Postby mrdelmonti on Fri Jul 22, 2011 12:15 am

Now I know this is gonna sound like a daft question, for those of you with a LWB, more importantly a leafer, where do you jack from when using a trolley jack?

On the rear especially there doesn't look to be an ideal place to jack from and still be able to place an axle stand.

Or maybe I'm just being daft after having owned a landy and being able to jack from anything that isn't rusty

The rear can be jacked from under the spring mounting on the axle or from the bottom of the diff if both rear wheels need to be raised. Recommend axle stands if jacking under the diff tho as can be unstable if not on level ground.

Front is jacked just inboard of where the bottom swing arm pivots are.
I also drink Port and I'm not ashamed to say it!
