my ex partner stole & sold my 1st fronty last year ive been looking everywhere for her, police werent interested as ex was in possesion of the vehicle etc... she's a burgandy swb 2.8tdi with all the chrome trimming, light guards, steps, bull bar, has a hole in the wing where the snorkel was & massive oversize tyres that stuck out the arches 2 inch reg-M82ATU you cant miss her as she has Ants Fu*k Truck 2.8tdi on bottom the number plates both front and back, i had pics on photobucket but they were deleted by her, i took it to bala for my birthday 04/07/10 if anybody also went? ive spent hours and hours looking on ebay, google everything..... here is my last chance really before she gets destroyed off-road or scrapped....
really want her back at any cost, sentimantal value..... ive checked askmid and she's not insured and was last in Rhyl, North Wales area, if i remember rightly she will be running out of mot about now as i did it in july last year....
even if i cant get it back would love a few pics of it... i spent £££'s on her
is it possible to check the status of the mot or tax with just the reg??

That reg is not showing on dvla website so it may be scrapped. It would show if it were taxed, unlicensed or sorned. It said veh records not found.

This could be already scrapped. Ive checked it on dvla too and I got the same message as ghosthunter. I was thinking, could this mean that the number plates could have been changed over to private plates or not

As Dave said, the DVLA system will only show details of the original reg. If it's been changed at any time you're out of luck, sry. Keep us updated on the MOT station feedback tho! *def worth updating the cops with any sightings etc, and anything like MOT/Tax/Insurance expiring.. put all those 'safety' cameras to some use

Accordingly to a tyre finder search, M82ATU did refer to a Frontera

Ant', the tyre finders don't give an indication as to whether or not the vehicle still exists - but it does give an indication that a Frontera had that reg issued to it. On the DVLA site for taxing a motor there are other fields that exist as regards a cars history - you may qualify as being a legal interested party to contact them for info, failing that, what about using one of the hpi/car history checkers that you can do using a mobile phone - cost a few quid to have the check done but maybe give you a definitive answer.
