WooHoo, Hiya all, am back from lovely Devon have had a fab time and Betty Banger made it with only a little hiccup on the way. She now needs a new radiator but then I think looking at rad it was well on its way out. We pulled up at stonehenge on the way down to find water running out from the top of radiator, was a tad bleep at this and stomped off round stonehenge ( what a bloody rip off that is £20 to look at a pile of rocks that you can see exactly the same from the road!!!) anyway by the time we got back to car and had lunch it had stopped leaking, I found that the two pipes going into the top of rad seemed to be where water was coming from the jubilee clips seemed to be getting loose. retightened refilled 2 litres of water, used facilities to refill spare bottle of water for the journey, and set off again we the feeling that id be stopping again a bit further down road to call greenflag out but....... no she made it all the way down there all I had to do was keep checking the clips and retopping the water every so often. So she has managed 631miles at about 23 mpg, £177 in fuel have had to add about 8 litres of water to her over the week, radiator seems to have seperated on one side also have another hose that seems to be constantly wet but it has a different type of fitting to it, i'll try and take some pics of the offending bits so hopefully someone can shed some light on what needs doing, but other than the water problem she hasnt missed a beat, even to the point of stretching her legs a tad on the way back home (managed 100 when a prat in a peugeot 106 pulled straight across in front and thought he could make gestures) other than that she has done a steady 75/80 on the motorways without any trouble. ok didnt realise I had waffled quite so much lol

Yep your right I did have little faith lol, but I have to admit other than the issue with the water she doesn't miss a beat she starts first time everytime now she can have a rest and I can start giving her some tlc that she deserves.
