Failed MOTWell failed MOT yesterday did i have a More than his Jobsworth,no rubber cover on brake pedal.I have them screwed on metal plates on the pedals,so the guy at the garage i take my car to.Took the plate of the brake pedal and fitted me a old rubber peddle he had out the back.Went back for retest and passed lol just seemed a bit silly to me not come across it before
Re: Failed MOTdid it have rubber in it. and no hes not a jobs worth you could slip off brake pedal and kill someone or worse dent ur truck
Re: Failed MOTDunno if it orrigionally had rubber on it but its not just a smooth piece of metal, they have like them anti slip bobbles on it.Is same as what you buy if went to halfords and brought a new set
Re: Failed MOTI have metal plates on my peddles, but my tester never even mentioned them. Mine failed on a couple of things this year. One of them was a "wobbly" headlight, coz the plastic clips at the back had snapped. My garage were supposed to have fixed them when it was in for the break pipes. They didn't, and when I took her back for the re-test, the MOT guy was really cool about it. It just said, that he'd pass it but not give me the certificate, until it's fixed and I bring it back to show him.
Just goes ti show that there are some nice MOT guys out there. Jim and Phoenix
