I can see some great uses for this, just point it at what you want to measure and press the button.
Just a few - Checking if the top hose is at or near the same temp as the top hose (diagnosing a stuck thermostat)
Checking if any wiring or fuses are getting hot, checking the cylinder head temp, checking the discs to see if one or more is getting hot (stick caliper etc) and loads I haven't even thought of yet... all without even getting your hands dirty
