Just skimmed this thanks for posting,postfinder. Is there an error? in the table listing the first generation fronteras I couldn't see the 2.3 model listed
Its good to see the letters after the engine types C2one etc as I have always been confused by these and I now know what my 2.5's letters after its name are which is good.

I could only find this reference to the 2.3:

The early cars (to 1995) had a choice of engines, with the LWB available with either a 2.4-liter petrol (C24NE) engine (developed in the Opel Manta 400) or the 2.3-liter diesel engine originally fitted in the Bedford CF van & Vauxhall Carlton. The Frontera sport (Isuzu Amigo) was available with the 2.0-liter petrol Vauxhall Cavalier engine (C20NE).

The wikipedia article concenteates on the Isuzu version. As some of us well know the Frontera/Passport etc are merely derivatives. Next time you open the bonnet of a B series have a look at the air filter box. It should have "Isuzu" on it and the Isuzu part number. To get the VX part number just drop the "8" off the front and use the next 8 characters.
